Workshops and Retreats

Prayer Workshop:

This exciting workshop uses a variety of media that is designed to challenge those attending to ask themselves the question, “Is my prayer life all it can be?”

There are a variety of topics that can be arranged in a two, three, or four hour workshop.  The focus of this workshop is to educate about the importance of personal prayer in our lives.

The workshop is ideal as a part of a Confirmation retreat.  It can also be used as part of a family program on prayer.  The two hour time frame of the workshop works perfectly for a family program.

Sexuality Workshop:

This workshop covers the topic of human sexuality as part of the Confirmation Preparation Requirements. It is a program designed for both students and their parents/guardians.

The secular world we live in seems to have sexualized everything around us: magazine and television advertisements, the music we listen to, and the programs and movies we watch on television and in the movies. Where has it gotten us: out of wedlock pregnancy, divorce, HIV/Aids, STDs, same sex marriage, abortion, pornography, bullying, sex on the internet, and single motherhood, just to name a few. Is it any wonder that our young people are growing up with no clue about what family is, what marriage is, and the purpose of sex in a committed marriage relationship!

The workshop encourages discussion between students and their parents/guardians on the topic of sexuality in today’s world using:
    · Scripture readings
    · Stories
    · Music/Lyrics
    · Movies

Family Programs:

If your parish needs help in designing an intergenerational program for your families, we will design a custom program that will work for your individual parish.

First Communion and Confirmation Retreats:

These retreats are designed to be a hands-on day for the students and a day that will help them prepare more fully for their Sacrament. If you don’t offer a retreat for your students, we can help you put one together that you can use with your students for years to come.
